Wooden Mushroom Toy – Xerocomus Subtomentosus – Montessori & Waldorf

Not only are our wooden toys crafted with love, but they're also coated with olive oil to ensure a long-lasting finish. And with water-based, non-toxic colors, you can rest easy knowing your child is playing with a safe and healthy toy. Our wooden mushroom toy is not just another plaything - it's a tool for developing your child's creativity. Inspired by Montessori and Waldorf schools, our wooden toys are designed to spark your child's imagination and encourage them to explore the world ar

Each piece is carved from a single block of solid ash wood, hand-sanded and painted in layers. The finish is olive oil: natural, protective and gentle on the wood grain. No plastic components. Small variations in colour and grain are a natural characteristic of handmade production — not defects.

Open-ended wooden figurines work best when children are given time, space and freedom to direct their own play. There is no right way to use them — they become whatever the child needs them to be.

Part of our Playscapes & Accessories collection. Pairs with our Waldorf animals, wooden trees and fairy tale figures.
