Hand Painted Wooden Rabbit Lady – Woodland Animal Toy

This charming woodland character is designed to spark imagination and become a beloved figure in every child’s collection. Lovingly handcrafted from solid wood, each rabbit is precisely carved, carefully sanded, and impeccably finished for a smooth, refined touch. The dress and facial details are individually hand-painted using non-toxic, child-safe colors that fully comply with strict EU EN71 toy safety standards, ensuring safe, worry-free play. Perfect for Montessori and Waldorf-inspired

Each piece is carved from a single block of solid ash wood, hand-sanded and painted in layers. The finish is olive oil: natural, protective and gentle on the wood grain. No plastic components. Small variations in colour and grain are a natural characteristic of handmade production — not defects.

Open-ended wooden figurines work best when children are given time, space and freedom to direct their own play. There is no right way to use them — they become whatever the child needs them to be.

Realistic woodland animal figurines are among the most developmentally valuable toys a child can own. Without a fixed use or prescribed story, they invite children to observe, imagine and narrate — building language, empathy and a quiet attentiveness to the natural world. Research shows that open-ended, child-led play builds narrative thinking and emotional intelligence more effectively than toys with a prescribed use.
