Handmade Wooden Fish - Sohal Surgeonfish Figurine – Montessori & Waldorf

Made with eco-friendly Inspired by real fish, our skilled artists at Noelino have crafted an original design that captures the beauty of the underwater realm. Every brushstroke brings this figurine to life, making it a visually captivating addition to your child's toy collection. We've taken extra care to ensure that every edge of this wooden fish is carefully sanded, providing a smooth surface with no rough edges. So you can have peace of mind while your little ones enjoy their playtime. Each piece is carved from a single block of solid ash wood, hand-sanded and painted in layers. The finish is olive oil: natural, protective and gentle on the wood grain. No plastic components. Small variations in colour and grain are a natural characteristic of handmade production — not defects.

Open-ended wooden figurines work best when children are given time, space and freedom to direct their own play. There is no right way to use them — they become whatever the child needs them to be.

Open-ended wooden figurines are among the most developmentally rich toys a child can own. Without fixed rules or a prescribed story, they invite children to invent, narrate and explore — building narrative thinking, emotional intelligence and creative confidence. These pieces are handmade, beautiful and built to last — teaching children, by example, that the things around us deserve to be treated with care.
