Wooden Realistic Crocodile Figurine – Collectible Wild Animal

The Realistic Crocodile Figurine is carved from a single block of solid ash wood and painted by hand with the layered greens, greys and textured scales of the real animal. The posture is characteristic — low to the ground, alert, patient. A figurine that rewards close looking.

Carved from solid ash wood. Hand-sanded and painted in layers. Finished with olive oil. No plastic components. EN71 certified. Small variations in colour and grain are a natural characteristic of handmade production.

Crocodiles and alligators are among the most ancient creatures on Earth — survivors of the age of dinosaurs. Children who play with a realistic crocodile figurine begin to ask real questions: Is it a crocodile or an alligator? Where does it live? What does it eat? These are the first questions of a naturalist, sparked by a carved wooden figure.

Realistic wild animal figurines give children a window onto the living world — species and habitats entirely different from their own. The crocodile is a particularly powerful subject: ancient, powerful, and deeply interesting to children who are drawn to creatures at the extreme edges of the animal kingdom. Open-ended play with realistic wooden figures builds genuine curiosity: children begin to ask about diet, habitat and behaviour without being prompted. These are the first questions of a naturalist.
