Each piece is carved from a single block of solid ash wood, hand-sanded and painted in layers. The finish is olive oil: natural, protective and gentle on the wood grain. No plastic components. Small variations in colour and grain are a natural characteristic of handmade production — not defects.

Dinosaur figurines invite children into prehistoric territory. Children who play with realistic dinosaur figures ask better questions: How big was it? What did it eat? Why did it disappear? This is the beginning of scientific curiosity, sparked by play.

Part of our Realistic Animals & Birds collection. Collect the full dinosaur range or explore our woodland and prehistoric playscapes.

Dinosaurs captivate children for good reason — they represent a world radically different from our own, full of creatures that were real but are now gone. Playing with realistic wooden dinosaur figurines builds genuine curiosity about natural history and develops comparative thinking: size, shape, diet, behaviour. These are the first questions of a scientist, asked naturally through play.
