Dog Family – Wooden Waldorf Animals – Handmade

Our original design was inspired by real dogs, and these beautiful painted wooden figurines are sure to delight children and adults alike. Not only are these detailed wooden toys fun to play with, they also develop children's creativity and imagination. As children learn about the domestic animals that live on the farm, they can create their own farm with these imaginative toys. Inspired by Montessori and Waldorf principles of education, this wooden toy can become your child's best friend.

Each piece is carved from a single block of solid ash wood, hand-sanded and painted in layers. The finish is olive oil: natural, protective and gentle on the wood grain. No plastic components. Small variations in colour and grain are a natural characteristic of handmade production — not defects.

Family sets invite children to play out relationships — the dynamic between adult and young. Children naturally create family stories: someone is lost, someone is found, someone is hungry. Universal themes explored safely through play.
