Wooden Easter Resurrection - Empty Tomb Scene – Montessori & Waldorf

This wooden scene is perfect for developing children's creativity and can be a wonderful source of inspiration for children. The set includes Jesus, Mary mother of Jesus, angel, Mary Magdalene, Mary mother of James, John the Apostle, two roman soldiers, and the empty tomb. The empty tomb shows that Jesus rose from the dead, as it is written on the stone at the entrance to the tomb. This wooden scene can be used as a toy but also as decorative objects, or a beautiful toy for your children.

Each piece is carved from a single block of solid ash wood, hand-sanded and painted in layers. The finish is olive oil: natural, protective and gentle on the wood grain. No plastic components. Small variations in colour and grain are a natural characteristic of handmade production — not defects.

Open-ended wooden figurines work best when children are given time, space and freedom to direct their own play. There is no right way to use them — they become whatever the child needs them to be.

Open-ended wooden figurines are among the most developmentally rich toys a child can own. Without fixed rules or a prescribed story, they invite children to invent, narrate and explore — building narrative thinking, emotional intelligence and creative confidence. These pieces are handmade, beautiful and built to last — teaching children, by example, that the things around us deserve to be treated with care.
