Wooden Oak Trees Covered by Snow – Montessori & Waldorf

Carefully carved from solid wood and hand-painted with non-toxic, child-safe paints, this piece captures the quiet strength of the mighty oak blanketed in soft snow. With its warm wood tones, gentle curves, and snowy accents, this wooden tree invites storytelling and adds a cozy seasonal charm to any imaginative play scene. From woodland adventures to frosty fairytales, it blends beautifully into natural play setups, offering both visual interest and tactile delight. Safe for little hands

Each piece is carved from a single block of solid ash wood, hand-sanded and painted in layers. The finish is olive oil: natural, protective and gentle on the wood grain. No plastic components. Small variations in colour and grain are a natural characteristic of handmade production — not defects.

A tree placed in the centre of a play scene changes everything. Animals gather beneath it, characters shelter under it. Landscape elements teach children to think about environment and context.

Trees are the architecture of imaginative play. A wooden tree transforms a collection of figurines into a living world — giving animals somewhere to perch, shelter and gather. In Waldorf education, nature elements are considered essential to meaningful play: they ground stories in the real world and teach children to think about habitat, relationship and ecosystem.
