With his soft expression and classic blue overalls, this charming wooden rabbit invites storytelling rooted in nature and simplicity. Perfectly suited for Montessori and Waldorf-inspired environments, this handcrafted rabbit encourages open-ended role-play, creativity, and emotional development. Its minimalist design allows children to build their own narratives, strengthening focus and fine motor skills through meaningful, screen-free play. Each figure is carefully carved from solid wood,

Each piece is carved from a single block of solid ash wood, hand-sanded and painted in layers. The finish is olive oil: natural, protective and gentle on the wood grain. No plastic components. Small variations in colour and grain are a natural characteristic of handmade production — not defects.

Open-ended wooden figurines work best when children are given time, space and freedom to direct their own play. There is no right way to use them — they become whatever the child needs them to be.

Realistic woodland animal figurines are among the most developmentally valuable toys a child can own. Without a fixed use or prescribed story, they invite children to observe, imagine and narrate — building language, empathy and a quiet attentiveness to the natural world. Research shows that open-ended, child-led play builds narrative thinking and emotional intelligence more effectively than toys with a prescribed use.
