Hand-Painted Baobab Tree – Large Waldorf Toy

The Baobab Tree Waldorf Puzzle is a large-scale wooden tree made from multiple interlocking pieces of solid ash wood. Each section is hand-carved, sanded smooth and painted individually before being assembled. The result is a tree with real depth and texture — a piece that children can take apart and put back together, or simply display as a sculptural object.

Made from solid ash wood throughout, finished with olive oil. No plastic components. Water-based, non-toxic paint. The multi-piece construction is designed to be handled and reassembled — joints are smooth and fitted precisely. EN71 certified.

Larger Waldorf tree puzzles occupy a different role in a play environment than small figurines. They become landmarks — the great oak at the centre of the forest, the palm that marks the edge of the savanna. Children arrange other figures around them, beneath them and beside them, building environments rather than just populating them.
