Native American Wolf Lodge – Montessori & Waldorf Figurines
In the Wolf Lodge, night falls slowly — the deer looks out from the teepee walls, the man returns wrapped in wolf fur, and the child finds rest on the bear's hide.
The Native American Wolf Lodge brings together eight hand-carved pieces in a scene rooted in Indigenous American life. A teepee with a hand-engraved deer silhouette and geometric border motifs, a chief standing in full headdress, a woman carrying her bag, a girl, a child kneeling, a woman sleeping, a bear hide, and a man dressed in wolf fur — each shaped from solid ash wood, finished entirely by hand, painted in layers with water-based colours and sealed with natural olive oil. Each piece is available individually.
Rooted in Montessori and Waldorf principles of open-ended, culturally-grounded play, this set invites children into a world of storytelling, empathy, and imagination. There is no script — only the scene, and whatever the child brings to it.
Recommended age: 5 and up. Adult supervision recommended for children under 3 due to small pieces.
Wipe clean with a slightly damp cloth. Avoid prolonged exposure to water or direct sunlight. Occasionally treat with a natural olive oil to maintain the finish. Do not submerge in water.
