Halloween's ghosts trace back to Samhain, the old Celtic festival marking the end of harvest, when the line between the living world and the spirit world was believed to grow thin. People lit bonfires and wore disguises, and over the centuries those customs grew into the costumes, lanterns and trick-or-treating children know today.

The Little Ghosts keep the fun of that tradition and leave out the fright. Their soft shapes and smiling faces make them easy company for children who are just discovering Halloween — ghosts to hide in a pumpkin house, lead through a dark forest or tuck into a matchbox bed.

Solid ash wood. Hand-painted with water-based paints in multiple layers, olive oil finish. No plastics, no solvent-based finishes, no MDF, no veneers. Made in conformity with the European toy safety standard EN 71. Small variations in colour and grain are a natural characteristic of handmade production — not defects. Each piece is unique.

Little ghosts give children a playful way to explore the idea of "scary" on their own terms. Sorting the four poses, giving each ghost a name and a voice, and inventing their night-time adventures builds vocabulary, sequencing and storytelling — all with figures small enough for little hands to move and arrange.

Inspired by Montessori and Waldorf principles, the Little Ghosts are simple, open-ended forms in natural wood. There are no buttons, sounds or screens: a ghost can haunt a castle in October and become a snowman's friend in December. The child's imagination does the rest.
