Rabbit Family Set – Hand-Painted Woodland Animals – Montessori & Waldorf

Featuring charming rabbit parents and little ones, this set brings storytelling to life and naturally becomes the centerpiece of any child’s toy collection. Each figure is carefully handcrafted from solid wood, precisely carved and smoothly sanded for an impeccable, child-friendly finish. The outfits and facial details are individually hand-painted using non-toxic, child-safe colors that fully comply with strict EU EN71 toy safety standards , ensuring durability and complete peace of mind.

Each piece is carved from a single block of solid ash wood, hand-sanded and painted in layers. The finish is olive oil: natural, protective and gentle on the wood grain. No plastic components. Small variations in colour and grain are a natural characteristic of handmade production — not defects.

Family sets invite children to play out relationships — the dynamic between adult and young. Children naturally create family stories: someone is lost, someone is found, someone is hungry. Universal themes explored safely through play.

Realistic woodland animal figurines are among the most developmentally valuable toys a child can own. Without a fixed use or prescribed story, they invite children to observe, imagine and narrate — building language, empathy and a quiet attentiveness to the natural world. Research shows that open-ended, child-led play builds narrative thinking and emotional intelligence more effectively than toys with a prescribed use.
