Cartoon Woodland Animals Set – Waldorf

The Woodland Animals Cartoon Collection brings seven forest species to life in a style designed for toddlers and young children — simplified forms, bold colours, expressive faces that invite immediate connection. Each figure is individually carved from solid ash wood and painted by hand.

Carved from solid ash wood. Finished with olive oil. Water-based, non-toxic paint. No sharp edges. No plastic components. EN71 certified.

Cartoon animal figurines are perfect for younger children just beginning their imaginative lives — the expressive forms spark immediate storytelling without requiring the closer observation that realistic figurines demand. The set works as a complete woodland cast for first imaginative play.

Solid ash wood. Hand-painted with water-based, non-toxic paints in multiple layers. Finished with olive oil. No plastic components. Made in conformity with the European toy safety standard EN 71. Small variations in colour and grain are a natural characteristic of handmade production — not defects. Each piece is unique.

Cartoon animal figurines serve a different developmental purpose than realistic ones. For toddlers and young children, the exaggerated expressions and bold colours create an immediate emotional connection — children name the animals, assign them personalities and begin their first narrative play. This is the entry point to imaginative storytelling, and it happens earlier than many parents expect. The Waldorf tradition values simplicity and expressiveness in toys for young children for exactly this reason.
